Succulent 'String of Hearts'
Botanical Name: Ceropegia woodii
Common Names: String of Hearts
Description: String of Hearts – A Charming Trailing Beauty
Ceropegia woodii, better known as String of Hearts, is a stunning, easy-care plant with delicate, trailing vines that thrive in hanging baskets, on shelves, or cascading from window sills. Its evergreen, succulent-like foliage makes it a long-lived and fast-growing favorite.
Native to South Africa, this plant flourishes in warm, tropical conditions and prefers a bright spot, ideally near a west- or south-facing window. In warmer Mediterranean climates, it can even be grown outdoors as a ground cover or draping over rock walls.
With its heart-shaped, gray-green leaves featuring a striking marbled pattern and thin purple-hued vines, String of Hearts is a true eye-catcher. Regular pruning encourages a fuller look, and when mature, its vines can trail up to 12 feet long
